Natural Disorder 2006by Mike Coker
Named in relation to climate change and treatment of land. The top section being natural and uncontrolled, and the lower section being controlled by man and in some sort of disorder/disrepute. The rich layers of graphite sketched over top of blues and ochre create a sparkle and a glint as the light changes or teh position of the viewer moves. Created on watercolour paper. Mixed media.
Currently unframed, this work was in the CBD the day of the Feb 2011 quake, and hung in the red zone for a year as part of a collection of works on display at the Hotel Off The Square.
