Beta2 Launch

We are making the last few tweaks towards the launch of 'Version 2' of the Artists.co.nz web development we are inviting those who have already been utilizing the current site to register and test the latest version which is located at http://beta2.artists.co.nz

GREAT BETA2 FEATURES:

  1. Contact form - people can contact you, but you can choose to reply, we never give your email address out via our forms.
  2. Comments - other members can comment on your work, if you choose to allow them, you can close, show, or hide.
  3. Uploading images - easily add images, and they are scaled, and clipped for thumbnail views.
  4. Uploading video - if you have a video of your work, why not show it, perhaps a performance? or a short film. There are 10MB limits! 
  5. Easy editor interface - improved dramatically less complex interface, with plenty of simplification and pointers to come.
  6. ShareThis - share  twitter, facebook, email a friend and many many more options!
  7. Tags and Colour space - search that is based on visual content, add tags and select colours that are represented to be included in the results. 
  8. Add your Events - only shows your news on your pages and it is added automatically to the main events page for all to see.
  9. Multiple profiles one account - Once you own an account you can have many profiles - be a gallery, an artist, an educator, and an industry member.
  10. Each profile can have a different package - ie. small for education, emerging for artist, and pro for industry, you choose.
  11. For sale / Not for sale / Sold / or Free - you choose, use our service to sell your works or as a folio of works completed. 
  12. Dashboard - see whats new view our blog, get updates, tips, what you recently added, and whose made comments on your work.
  13. 3 easy plans - in a nutshell they are:
    • Small: up to 15 items and 5 events for only $60/yr (NZD)
    • Emerging: up to 30 items, 10 events and 2 sponsors for only $90/yr (NZD)
    • Pro: up to 90 items, 15 events and 4 sponsors for only $120/yr (NZD)
  14. Fluid & Dynamic
    • Items: an 'item' can be an image/video for an artist, an artist for a gallery/venue, a product for industry, and a course for an educator or any of the said for any of the others.
    • Events: you can keep recycling your events keeping them up to date.
    • Sponsors: You can sell advertising to help support your arts, your friends, or as a thanks for those that support you.
  15. Monitoring - Yes we will be monitoring and moderating images, uploads and comments, provide us feedback anytime you are concerned.
  16. Art Business Initiative - Artists.co.nz is ideal for any artists seeking to expand their professional practices. At our foundation we have the 'FUSE Art Business Initiative' which offers courses and a range of seminars that are designed to train artists of any discipline about their options, to make informed decisions in relation to their unique circumstances.

Notes:

  • This 'Beta2' solution will be replacing the current 'beta' service at the end of this month (July), so please take the opportunity now to get involved and be on the first page and help us make it alive and attractive for launch.
  • There will be a few bugs, so let us know and we will do our best to resolve them. Its a work in progress, an event, an online performance piece!!
